Hi Brian and Lea--
I'm Jean from the National Bone Marrow Transplant Link, an organization which helps BMT patients and families cope with the challenges of transplant by providing vital information and personalized support services. We found your blog through Google blog alerts. My daughter had her tranplant at the Hutch 6 years ago, so the photos are very familiar!
I wanted to let Lea know that we have a "Celebrating 2nd Birthdays program" (your transplant anniversary is your "2nd Birthday") to honor and celebrate BMT survivors. Also, if you send me a mailing address, I'd like to you both a "Help & Hope" bracelet which recognizes the role of BMT caregivers.
All the best!
Jean

I can't believe it's been so long..these photos were great to see all together, Bri.

Lea,

I am absolutely honored to be able to share this journey with you and to be part of the family. I'm humbled by the grace, strength, and good humor with which you handle all of the challenges that come on a day-to-day basis. You're an amazing sister- thanks for being you, and for being such a big part in Brian's becoming the person that he is!

Brian Gregory Wedge,

You amaze me. Thank you for being my very first best friend and a best friend in life now. When we were little, it felt like we were a team, you and I, playing pond hockey across the street, making you candy soup in my "kitchen", playing so many games and most importantly sharing my life with you. I can not imagine a day in my life when I do not talk to you. It would be like a part of me is missing.

I certainly know this "journey" has aged us all. I do not wish cancer, leukemia, and transplant on anyone or any family. It is not a "gift". There are many triumphs and discoveries along the way and I am so lucky and grateful to have shared/and share them with you and Christine. (Of course you too mother!)

I love you guys-
